Igniter Silicon Valley presents AI Agent Arena on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at the Oshman Family JCC in Palo Alto. Ten teams, five minutes each, live demos only — no slides. The audience votes on Best AI Agent, Most Innovative, the "Holy Sh*t" Demo, Most Commercially Valuable, Best Early-Stage Team and AI Agent of the Night. Tickets from $5.
Ten agents. Five minutes each. Live demos only — no slides.
That is the whole format, and it is the whole point. Over the last year I have sat through a great many AI agent presentations, and most of them share a problem: the deck is beautiful, the demo video is polished, and at no point does anyone see the thing actually run. On October 22 we are fixing that for one evening. Ten teams walk on stage, plug in, and show a working agent doing real work in front of a room of founders, engineers, investors and potential customers. If it breaks, it breaks. That's the arena.
01 / The Format
Every team gets the same five minutes, split the same way:
Then the audience votes. Not a panel of judges — the room. The people who might buy it, fund it, or join it decide which agent earned the night.
A slide tells me what you hope the agent does. A live run tells me what it actually does. We only want the second one.
02 / The Evening
Six titles are on the line, and the audience picks all of them:
03 / Who It's For
If you are building an agent — a startup, a side project, an internal tool that quietly does something useful — this is the fastest way to put it in front of a hundred people who matter and get an honest reaction. Apply for a demo slot with the AI Founder / Builder ticket. If you want a table for the whole evening, the Startup Showcase ticket gets you one.
If you are an engineer or product leader, you'll see ten different architectures solving ten different problems in under an hour, with none of the marketing layer in the way. It's the most efficient survey of what's actually working in agents you'll get this year.
If you are an investor or a potential customer, you get the thing you can never get from a pitch deck: the product running, live, with the founder's hands visibly shaking. That tells you more than the TAM slide ever will.
Students get in for $5. Bring your laptop and your questions.
The Arena grows out of the same idea behind the Igniter agentic AI bootcamp we ran in August: stop naming it, watch what it does. That night we built three agents in sixty minutes. This time, ten teams bring theirs.
Tickets are on Eventbrite: AI Agent Arena — Thursday, October 22, 2026. The Einstein Room is not large, and the demo slots fill first. More from Igniter Silicon Valley at ignitersv.com.
